Mosaic Table Top Class

This is an intermediate mosaic class. Students are required to have taken a prior beginning mosaic class. Class will focus on design and technique for a round mosaic table top . Your project could be a wall art piece if you wish. Please come with design ideas, but don’t be “set” in your design as working on table tops on a round base may change your design.
Table legs/base will be purchased by students and is not included in the materials fee. Resources will be provided to students.
- 10% Indigo Sky discount for the class fee only for those who have taken a Beginning Mosaic course with Kaye Iverson at Indigo Sky Trading Company. ($90)
- Class size limited to 8 due to working space
- Minimum of 6 participants required for the class
- Deadline to register is Jan. 10th.
- Late registration after Jan. 10th will be $115. Extra table tops will need to be special ordered & prepared to arrive in time for the first class.
- Discounts will not be given for classes you are unable to attend
- Students will need to indicate if they wish to make a 15” or 18” round. (If not provided by Jan. 10th, students will be provided with at 15” tabletop.) Furniture from home will not be able to be substituted for the provided table top project.
- Materials fee is $27 for the 15” table and $32 for the 18” table.
- Materials fee paid to instructor at the beginning of first class includes:
- Tile adhesive
- Design and transfer paper
- Supplemental Handouts
- Grout and sealer
- Primed tabletop ready to mosaic
- Available scrap glass from Indigo Sky
- Students may wish to purchase additional glass on their own from Indigo Sky). Scrap glass supply is limited in colors and amount. Glass should be close in thickness.
Items to bring to class:
Safety glasses will be provided, however you may want to bring your own
Painter’s pallet knife (optional)
Tweezers
Box - at least 6 inches deep by 12” long for cutting glass
Baggies or containers for storing your glass
